De Gea started in Fiorentina's 2-1 loss to Real Betis in the Conference League semi-final first leg on Thursday. Following the game, the veteran Spanish goalkeeper was asked about his future in Italy, and De Gea was quick to make his feelings clear regarding his potential continuation with the Viola.

When asked about his future at the club by (h/t Football Italia), De Gea said: "I take it day by day. I’m very happy in Florence and I’m having a lot of fun in Italian football. I hope to get the best with my group.”
