Leeds United have tabled a deadline day offer for young Aberdeen defender Calvin Ramsay, according to journalist Ryan Taylor.

The Whites have had a quiet January transfer window overall but one player who has been linked with a move to the club is Ramsay.
The 18-year-old right-back has enjoyed an impressive season for Aberdeen so far, registering four assists in 12 Scottish Premiership starts.
There is still just enough time for Ramsay to secure a move to Leeds and that could possibly be on the cards after an update from Daily Express journalist Taylor.

Speaking on YouTube [MOT Leeds News], Taylor confirmed that Leeds have made a bit for the young Scot’s services, with a transfer now possible before deadline day ends:
“Calvin Ramsay at Aberdeen, Leeds have made an offer, it’s not sort of one of serious immediate ‘let’s get him through the door’ but long-term for the club’s vision, Ramsay’s a really attractive option.
“He’s been really impressive with Aberdeen, his defensive stats are sort of unbelievable really for a young prospect.
“Leeds have come in at about £3million, it’s one to keep an eye on, I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened.”

The Verdict: Good young addition
Ramsay looks a hugely exciting prospect with a bright future, having been hailed as an ‘elite’ talent by Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack.
The fact that he is already shining in Scotland’s top league bodes well and it could be that Victor Orta sees him as a long-term replacement for Luke Ayling at Leeds, who is now 30 years of age and has missed 11 games this season through injury.
While Ramsay is unlikely to be thrown straight into Marcelo Bielsa’s squad if he signs, a spell in the Under-23s could allow him to adapt to his new surroundings before making the step up next season.
