Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has publicly criticised attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan following some poor recent performances, and Red Devils fans have been quick to have their say on his comments.
The 28-year-old started the season as the Portuguese boss’ first-choice in the No. 10 role, picking up five assists in the first three Premier League games of the campaign.
However, the Armenia international has only scored one goal and not registered another assist in eight top flight outings since then, and he was dropped from the squad for the matches against Newcastle United and FC Basel.
According to BBC Football, Mourinho said: “I was not happy with his last performances.
“It’s not one or two, I am talking about three, four or five.”
Man United supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the situation, and while one described the blast from their manager as “brutal/truthful”, another said “I blame this mess on Mourinho”.
