He then registered zero goals on loan with Sevilla last season, and has struggled massively since joining Sociedad this summer.
One has to assume Brands would have taken the first suitable offer that came in for the striker this summer, and he may now have to settle for a nominal fee to offload him in January.
Ronald Koeman and Steve Walsh spent just over £5m on the Spaniard last summer, and his loan move to Sociedad has been a total disaster.
